Shadow is an exceptional dog. He is what I sadly now class as a dying breed…. a good old fashioned collie x greyhound lurcher, he is how lurchers should be both in breeding, looks and temperament. Non of the weird mixes that are now being bred. Non of the weird anxiety behaviours. A good honest lurcher how I remember the dogs of my childhood and oh such a clown!

Shadow is everyone’s favourite. He is sensible when he needs to be, in the main ignores other dogs but is eager to please, biddable and loyal beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Shadow loves everyone! Some even more than others. He just loves his people. Out and about on walks he walks like a dream. Off lead he works for his owner not going far, sniffing and mooching then comes back when called.

However, typically lurcher Shadow does have a high prey drive so caution on where and when to let him off needs to be headed.

Shadow is not cat or small furry friendly but could be rehomed with dog savvy children 8 years and upwards.

He does need a secure garden and ideally would love to live with a calm female sighthound.

We do feel though as part of a home with someone around all or most of the time he could learn to be an only dog.

Shadow would love a home where he is very much part of the day to day life and could travel with you experiencing things. He loves to travel.

Although Shadow is currently with us in kennels he is spotless. He waits patiently to be walked or let out so we do not envisage housetraining will be an issue.

Shadow is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed and is neutered and microchipped he has also had his teeth cleaned. He will be rehomed with one months free insurance from Petplan.

Shadow is currently located in Stoke on Trent. Anyone wishing to offer him a home will need to travel with all members of the immediate family and any current resident dog to meet with him.
