Melody

Our little kennels clown is now ready to find her new home.

Melody a 2 year old saluki x girl.

Melody came to us from a stray pound unclaimed and at risk of euthanasia.

The pound staff described her as shy and nervous so imagine our surprise when a baby couldn’t care less kangaroo bounced in using her great big daft legs through our doors yelling tadarr as she came.

Melody doesn’t care life is good and it’s fun. She’s a joy to have around and you can’t help but laugh. She’s also easily lead. She’s fine with other dogs and walks with them well. However if she’s with a reactive dog she will join in yelling yeah and another thing! She’s no first clue why she’s doing it though.

She does need some more work on the lead as we need to see everything quickly and is the epitome of the Welsh saying….. where were you going when I saw you coming back. Literally Melody doesn’t know whether she’s coming or going she’s very airy headed.

Melody we feel could be an only dog with people around all or most of the time. She could also live happily alongside a larger sized male dog or as part of a mixed pack alongside another female dog if a male dog was in there to steady the balance.

She is not cat or small furry friendly but can live with children 6 years and upwards if they’ve been use to living with a bouncy dog before.

Although Melody is currently with us in kennels she works hard to keep her area clean and toilets on every walk and turn out so we don’t envisage house training being a problem. She also travels well.

Melody is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, spayed, microchipped and has received a dental.

Melody is in Stoke on Trent Staffordshire and anyone wishing to offer her a home would need to be willing to travel to meet her with all immediate members of the family and any current resident dogs.

If you are interested in offering Melody or any of our dogs a home please in the first instance complete the pre adoption questionnaire below
