Buttons is around 2 years old and we suspect he is a mix of Collie/Whippet/Jack Russel Terrier. There is absolutely some terrier in there.

 

Mr Buttons was found emaciated in a field weighing just 5.5kg and is now a healthy 8kg.

 

Due to lack of food and breeding he can be quite resourceful with other dogs but fine with humans.

 

If Buttons were to live with another dog it would need to be a steady non predatory medium to large female.

 

Anything else small with Terrier/Collie behaviour traits he will likely clash.

 

In a home as an only dog he will ideally need someone around more often than not whilst we work to settle him to his environment.

 

Due to his breeding he is not good with cats or small furries. He can though live with dog savvy children 8 years and up.

 

Buttons does walk well on the lead but can be a little vocal when he sees other dogs. He has an abundance of energy so needs a home with time to both physically exercise him and mentally stimulate him with learning games and enrichment. Naturally his breeding makes him a clever little dog who can easily get bored.

 

This boy has so much love to give BUT is much more than a cute little cuddle kitten so please don’t apply on the basis of size and visuals as he is a dog that needs input.

 

Buttons is currently located in Stoke on Trent and anyone wishing to offer him a home would need to be willing to travel to meet him with all immediate family members.
