Lilo is a sweet 2 year old, 8 kg whippet cross girl.

Before Lilo landed into our care she had had very little experience of life or people at all.

She landed petrified clinging to her littermate, although she has now come such a long way in our care moving forward she will still need a dedicated, patient, understanding and experienced home.

Lilo absolutely needs a home with someone around all of the time to begin with.

Adapting to homelife will take her time although now she is learning to enjoy our home from home room and engaging in enrichment and other play activities.

Lilo can not be rehomed as an only dog and does have a fear of dogs much larger than her.

We are looking for a home with a suitable neutered male companion, a dog no heavier than around 12kg and not much larger than 20 inches.

She is not cat or small furry safe and would not cope in a noisy busy home with young children.

Any children in the home needs to be 10 years plus and dog savvy.

Lilo is just about in our paddock learning not to try to run away or look for escape routes or corners to dig into.

Instead she is turning to us for confidence and security and now we are being met with a waggy tail and happy face, a trusting face not worried bushbaby eyes.

Terrified of a lead and collar when first arriving she is now learning to accept them and has started to venture out onto short walks but she is walking in a quiet area only so far so there is work to be done in that area gently.

Lilo isn't the most confident traveller at the moment so there is also work to be done there.

Lilo is learning to be clean in her kennel and is toileting when given the chance.

Lilo is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped, spayed, has received a dental and will be rehomed with one months free insurance from Petplan.

Lilo is located in Stoke on Trent and any family wishing to offer her a home will need to be willing to travel with all immediate members of the family and any resident dogs.

Lilo will need a number of meetings with a new family and will need visits from ourselves to her new home with her also. Therefore applications closer to ourselves in Staffordshire and surrounding areas will be given priority.

If you fit Lilo's requirements and are interested in offering her a home and have the time and expertise to continue to introduce her to the world please in the first instance complete the pre adoption questionnaire below.
