Caleb is the most amazing brave Greyhound boy. He landed into our care having been found sadly alone with his owner who had passed a number of days before. The police had had to break in to gain entry and Caleb naturally still stood and attempted to defend his owner with a growl. Caleb must have been terrified during that time.

 

Due to this Caleb now needs a home with another dog. He is kennelled with a female Greyhound here and has now thankfully settled. However, she does now have a new home and he will once again be alone.

 

Before being doubled up he use to guttural sob at night when it went dark and he was alone. It was the most unnerving noise I have ever heard a Greyhound make but it was obvious that it was trauma from his time alone with his deceased owner.

 

Now with a female Greyhound as company he has settled. He is the most glorious and happy of all boys once again. We do feel now that a female Greyhound would help him to feel secure should his owner leave and alleviate the worry of ending up in a situation he had in the past with absolutely no company and no help for some time.

 

Caleb is spectacular. He has a heart as big as he is beautiful. Out and about on walks he is a typical Greyhound and he does need further safe socialisation around other breeds.

 

He is NOT cat or small furry friendly but could be rehomed with dog savvy children age 6 years and over. He travels like a dream.

 

Here at the kennels Caleb keeps his environment clean and does understand to empty once he is allowed out to toilet.

 

This amazing boy does really now need a family to heal what was a broken heart.

 

Caleb is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped and is neutered and has received a dental.

 

Caleb is located at our kennels in Stoke on Trent and anyone wishing to help heal this lads broken heart needs to be willing to travel to meet him with all immediate members of the family and any current resident dogs.
