Max is a 4 year old very handsome Lurcher male with a very sad story.
A few weeks prior to his arrival we were asked if we could take Max into our care. A few years ago we intook his Brother Pedro now Flint adopted by Vanessa Rigby.
Sadly we had to say currently we were unable to assist as dogs at risk of euthanasia in the stray pounds were piling up around us.
His owners made the decision to pay him into a facility not understanding that it placed him into the same position of risk the dogs we had turned him down to save faced.
Luckily for Max upon collecting two others I saw him instantly, knew who he was and we asked to take him too. We couldn’t immediately as we had no kennels his size available.
Thankfully we were able to find a solution the next day and returned to save him.
Max is a real sweetie, he is great with other dogs no matter the size and absolutely adores people. He has a very cheeky personality and loves to grin at you when he is excited. He walks well on lead although, he wants to say hello to everyone and everything.
Max ideally needs a home with a female dog companion. Someone who will play, cuddle up with him and allow him to have a best friend. He has always lived with other dogs.
If Max were to be rehomed as an only dog it would need to be a home with someone around all or most of the time. A family where he could join in with and enjoy days out and all activities would be ideal.
Max is fine to be rehomed with dog savvy children 6 years and upwards but is not to be rehomed with cats.
Max also travels well in the van and settles with no issues.
He is said to be housetrained.
Max is neutered, vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed and microchipped. He will also be rehomed with 5 weeks free insurance from Agria.
Max is located in Stoke-on-Trent and anyone wishing to offer him a home would need to be willing to travel to meet him with all immediate members of the family and any current resident dogs.
